Advocates For Empowerment

Assisting individuals with intellectual disabilities to live independently and contribute to their communities involves teaching essential life skills, creating supportive environments, and fostering connections. Key strategies include promoting daily living skills, ensuring home safety and accessibility, encouraging social participation, providing vocational training, and supporting health and wellness. These efforts help individuals develop the confidence and abilities needed to lead meaningful, productive lives and engage fully in their communities.

As a Provider Organization we work with the brokerages, counties and families to support and assist developmentally disabled persons in becoming more independent and valuable members of their communities.

Home Support

Cooking, organizing, cleaning, general home tasks, basic maintenance, and communication with onsite staff.

Community Inclusion

Learning to live full lives through integration into their local community by participating in volunteer work and social events; as well as the specific interests of the individual.

Job Support

Job discovery, development and coaching, as well as other supportive employment services, includes attending jobs with individual.

Advocates for Empowerment offers home and community support services. We specialize in working with clients who are transitioning to independent living. We help with volunteer opportunities, job assistance, budgeting, community integration, daily living and life skills, nutrition/exercise, planning/organizing skills, diabetes support, and medical health management, and many other goals.
